Passeggiare per le calli di Venezia è senza dubbio un’esperienza unica. A volte, tuttavia, viene voglia di
salire in alto per poter ammirare la Serenissima da una posizione privilegiata. Per godere di una vista
mozzafiato sulla città e scattare le migliori foto del panorama di Venezia, una visita alla terrazza del
Fondaco dei Tedeschi fa al caso tuo! Si tratta di un palazzo affacciato sul Canal Grande, vicino al ponte
di Rialto. Era la sede dei mercanti tedeschi che lo usavano come magazzino e alloggio. Esistente già dal
XIII secolo, è stato ricostruito tra il 1505 e il 1508 in seguito ad un incendio.
Col bel tempo la vista può spaziare fino alle isole. Si vedono le cupole della Basilica di San Marco, il
campanile di San Marco, il Canal Grande con i suoi palazzi, i tetti e le altane di Venezia, il Ponte di
Rialto, i campanili delle chiese di Venezia, e mille altri particolari che si possono ammirare solo
dall’alto.
E dopo la visita, per concludere in bellezza, berremo uno spritz in uno dei bacari più belli di Venezia!

Walking through the streets of Venice is undoubtedly a unique experience. Sometimes, however, you
feel like going up high to admire the Serenissima from a privileged position. To enjoy a breathtaking
view of the city and take the best pictures of Venice, a visit to the “Fondaco dei Tedeschi” terrace is
perfect for you! It’s a building overlooking the Grand Canal, near the Rialto bridge. It was the seat of
German merchants who used it as a warehouse and lodging. Existing since the XIII century, it was
rebuilt between 1505 and 1508 following a fire.
In good weather the view can range up to the islands. You can see the domes of the Basilica of San
Marco, the bell tower of San Marco, the Grand Canal with its palaces, the roofs and the “altane” (small
terraces on the rooftop of the houses) of Venice, the Rialto Bridge, the bell towers of the churches of
Venice, and a thousand other details that they can only be admired from the top.
And last but not least, we will drink a spritz in one of the nicest “bacari” in Venice! Come to find out
