Sai che il 21 novembre è un giorno festivo per Venezia? Infatti si celebra la Festa della Salute per commemorare la fine della peste avvenuta nel 1631, per intercessione della Vergine invocata dal Doge un anno prima, che uccise circa 80.000 veneziani.

Per l'occasione viene costruito un ponte votivo costruito sul Canal Grande per entrare nella Basilica della Salute. La tradizione vuole che si attraversi il ponte, si accenda un cero alla Madonna e si preghi per la propria salute e per quella dei propri cari.
Fuori dalla Basilica, invece, vengono allestite delle bancarelle con cibi tipici di varie regioni d’Italia.

Se volete trascorrere questa giornata in compagnia, vi aspettiamo davanti alla Biblioteca delle Zattere alle 12:00!
Ognuno potrà comprare quello che vuole dalle bancarelle per assaporare i gusti italiani e mangiare tutti insieme!

Do you know that November 21st is a public holiday for Venice? In fact, the Festa della Salute is celebrated to commemorate the end of the plague that occurred in 1631, through the intercession of the Virgin invoked by the Doge a year earlier, who killed about 80,000 Venetians.
